This jig is tied with extra material for a bulked up appearance that creates a natural movement in the water. It is a very versatile bait that can be fished in several ways. One of the preferred methods to fish this bait is to cast, then allow the bait to sink to the bottom. After a brief pause, reel rapidly for four to six revolutions of the reel handle, allowing the lure to fall back to the bottom, then repeating. Another favorite technique is to cast the bait and allow it to sink on a tight line creating a falling/gliding motion through the water. In either case, be alert, the strike usually comes on the fall!
This is a 5/8 oz white chartreuse jig.
